Scottish Folds

Hello!! My name is Amber. I have spent almost a decade with Eastcoastcat, and now taking the leap into working independently.  I'm a small independent cattery, ran from my home as a Hobby. I picked this cattery name "Pudgy-Folds" in honor of my soul cat PudgePudge whom I had to say my final goodbye to at the end of 2025.

 I'm an experienced Scottish Fold & British Shorthair breeder, proven by showing, DNA testing, and health screening. My main focus is not just on health but also on socialization! Did you know that the most important time for kittens to be socialized is while they're still with the breeder? It is vital for me to raise my kittens in cage free environments, surrounded by everyday noises and activities but also realizing they still need their "safe place" and area to decompress. 

Not only is first-class socialization important but so is the overall quality of the kitten. Unfortunately,  Sottish Folds have a bad reputation due to many unethical breeders breeding a fold to a fold or not taking the time to health screen resulting in a lifetime of problems for the offspring. 

All of my mommas are bred to British Shorthairs to ensure the correct structure. I find that breeding to a British Shorthair gives the young more of a chunkier and healthier look. According to TICA standards, a British Shorthair bred to a Scottish Fold is considered a purebred Scottish Fold because British Shorthairs are an allowable crossbreed.
